No Tricks, Just Treats
A slow month, five-star reads, and plans.

Happy Fall, Ya’ll!
We’re already at the end of the second ‘ber month! The end of summer and the beginning of Fall have flown by, and I feel like this month vanished before I could set any real goals.
Slowing down is never a bad thing, so that’s what I tried to do this month. One thing I am especially proud of this year is thrifting about 80% of all of the Halloween costumes for myself and three kiddos (and trust me, there were a silly amount of costumes we had to come up with). Any other Goodwill-fanatics out there?
Now for your October updates:

It has been a slooooooow month for writing. I’m attempting to kick things back up in November, starting with a line writing course with the infamous (to me and many other aspiring writers) Cece Lyra.
I will also be piecing together a new resource for holiday shopping this year: a book guide for books to gift children on my blog. Children’s book authors, head this way to learn more and fill out the interest form!

I knocked out three books this month and started two more — I started 100 Years of Lenni and Margot and then paused to use my Spotify listening hours with The Silent Patient. A sin in the reading world, I know).
All of my reads were at least four stars this month (the benefits of having a bookstagrammer as a sister who recommends solid reads): The Invincible Summer of Juniper Jones, Where the Forest Meets the Stars, and Before We Were Yours.
I’ve left ratings and reviews for all over on my GoodReads!

Always wondering about the mushroom coffee I’m sipping in my IG posts? You can grab yours here.
Reviews go a long way for authors — if you’ve read The ABCs of Homesteading for Kids, please consider leaving a review on Amazon or Goodreads!
See you all next month!
